At MovementX, we believe that empowered providers will empower their patients. Once you are accepted as a new MovementX provider, we guide you through a series of onboarding meetings designed to get you up and running as quickly as possible. You’ll receive specialized training and coaching to grow your patient caseload as quickly and effectively as possible, while MX also works to send you patients, introduce you to referral sources, and set you up for full success. Thereafter, training continues as you are integrated into weekly one-on-one gameplanning with your coach, and ultimately merge into the larger community infrastructure. Throughout the process, you will learn the ins and outs of succeeding in the out-of-network physical therapy model as well as take a deep dive into personal development and goal setting.

There aren’t any specific experience requirements to apply to MovementX and our community has clinicians of all experience levels. If you are a provider hungry to go above and beyond for your patients who can develop deep community connections and wants to grow beyond a clinic, we encourage you to apply. We also believe that to provide the highest quality care to our patients, you should have a very high level of confidence in your clinical skillset.

What is the average number of monthly new patient referrals generated by the provider vs. MovementX generated?2024-04-02T00:37:48+00:00

At MovementX, we don’t believe anyone  “owns” a patient. After all, patients are humans of free will who can choose where they go at any time!

So, much like we hear across the PT world, it depends on the situation. In an ideal world, we aim for 50% by MX + 50% by the provider. That’s a true partnership! Providers actively marketing also helps strengthen local community presence, ensures they build a caseload of their preferred patient population, and develops strong communication with referrers.

Your clinical growth is supported by MovementX with asynchronous patient case discussions and ongoing sharing of evidence based practice as a company. We challenge our providers to be lifelong learners (in the spirit of one of our core values, kaizen!). With our resources, technology, and community, you’re empowered to practice at the top of your license.

We founded MovementX with a belief in transparency, autonomy, and trust, and have found that out of network PT enables us to practice at the top of our licenses. That being said, engaging with insurance companies helps to eliminate barriers to patient access and helps us reach more patients. MovementX has a dedicated insurance team that supports patients with verifying out of network benefits, aides in superbill submissions, and appeals denials. This ensures that providers can focus on what matters most: taking great care of your patients and yourself!

MovementX providers see a wide variety of clientele. As a MovementX provider, you are free to treat a variety of patient populations or focus on a specific niche. If you know someone who is looking to move their best so they can live their best, then they are a fit for MovementX. We have physical therapists who specialize in orthopedics, sports, neurological conditions, women’s and pelvic health, vestibular conditions, fitness, and strength and conditioning, and more. Once accepted as a MovementX provider, you are able to start immediately. The platform and community are designed to quickly onboard you to provide care to help people move their best. The more people moving and living their best, the closer we come to our vision of ‘a world healed by movement.’

MovementX is always looking for highly motivated, empowered physical therapists and personal trainers who are looking to make an impact on the profession and help heal the world through movement. At this time, we are looking for providers who have the “all-in” mindset. These are PTs and personal trainers who want to make MovementX their next career move and way of life, not just a side gig.

If we believe that we are the right company to help you achieve your goals, we will move forward with a series of interviews with our executive team members, staff, and providers.

Our primary physical therapy markets are located in the Washington, D.C., Portland, OR, Orange County, CA, and Bend, OR metropolitan areas. MovementX has many additional locations across the US listed on our homepage and has the capacity to grow wherever care is needed. We make provider acceptance decisions based on the strength of the providers in a certain location, the demand for physical therapy and personal training services, and the company’s ability to support your successful growth. As a MovementX provider, you set your own cash-pay rate. We will work extensively with you to make sure that rate is competitive in your market and sustainable for your financial goals. MovementX believes in providers selecting a price that reflects their value and the needs of the communities they serve. MovementX utilizes a base pay to ensure every new provider has a strong and stable income when first starting out, and a high commission split once your caseload grows. There are no additional fees or financial overhead you need to commit to get up and running. We are confident that our compensation package is the best in the market, and we have always believed that if we pay the best, we will recruit the best. MovementX is raising the ceiling of what earnings are possible in our profession.

    • We have always believed that if we pay the best, we will attract the best. Therefore, MovementX aims to have the best compensated physical therapist in the industry. We aim for providers to make at least $50k when treating 10 sessions/week and at least $100k when treating 20 sessions/week. Both are easily achieved in the compensation model we utilize.
  • Feel Supported as You Grow
    • Not sure if there’s a market for your skills or a demand for your services? (Hint…there is!) But we understand getting started can be scary. You can dip a toe into this new model of care with very little risk and we will be here by your side to foster your success.

Caseloads depends on the goals of the individual MovementX provider. We never dictate how many clients a provider sees. Providers that choose to utilize MovementX as their full-time equivalent income see between 20-25 sessions per week; providers that see a part-time equivalent caseload with MovementX see between 10-20 sessions per week.

Are there productivity requirements?2024-01-19T17:08:13+00:00

No way! MovementX will never set productivity requirements for its providers. We believe that empowered providers empower their patients. Goals and metrics are set based on the individual providers’ goals and how those goals help to drive MovementX forward.

Our goal is to make sure that you reach your goals, whatever they may be. Marketing and patient acquisition is a highly important component of being successful in this model. We expect our providers to lean heavily into marketing and help us help you build your caseload. One thing is for sure, we are not your traditional PRN company where we will passively send you referrals with no investment on your part!

While we expect providers to be the primary driver in caseload development, MovementX also heavily invests in patient acquisition for all our providers including marketing mentorship, development of marketing materials, email marketing campaigns, workshops, search engine optimization for locations and providers, intercompany referrals, telehealth referrals, network building, partner introductions, involvement in AgeProofYourBody, and so much more!

We also deeply believe in the strength and inspiration behind our brand, one that connects and resonates with patients, providers, referral sources, gyms, community partners, and large corporations, helping the development of a strong referral network.

Lastly, we also have a strong process that providers work through each and every week to ensure they are optimizing their caseload utilizing the most effective strategies based on their goals.
