Frequently Asked Questions

Traditional physical therapy can get complicated—but we’re here to keep things simple. Click below to see answers to common questions that most of our new clients have.

Do you accept Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flex Spending Accounts (FSAs)? 2024-05-01T21:32:50+00:00

Yes! We gladly accept Health Savings Accounts and Flex Spending Accounts for physical therapy care. When setting up your profile, input your HSA or FSA debit card as your payment method or submit your invoices directly to your employer or HSA/FSA provider for reimbursement. FSAs often expire at the end of the year, so don’t let it go to waste!

Where will our session be hosted?2024-05-01T21:33:14+00:00

At MovementX we think beyond the clinic walls. We offer mobile physical therapy services right to your doorstep: whether that is at your home, your gym, your workplace, the local track, or through a telehealth session…we’ll be right there by your side! We also partner with several gyms and corporate locations to offer you a comfortable third party space if needed. We recognize that movement happens throughout your day, regardless of where you are. We want to be there with you.

What are your rates?2024-05-01T21:32:27+00:00

One of our primary goals is to increase cost transparency in healthcare. Rather than unpredictable and confusing pricing or receiving bills in the mail months later, each physical therapist has a set hourly rate which varies slightly by region of the contry and specialty, but ranges between $150-$200 per hour. We guarantee that our concierge level care, clinical expertise, and person-centered approach will make your experience worthwhile, otherwise your money back guaranteed.

At MovementX, we want to work with you to make sure that the cost of care is not a burden. Read more here about HSAs/FSAs, here about motor vehicle accidents, and here about insurance reimbursement.

Does MovementX accept Medicare Beneficiaries?2024-05-01T21:32:01+00:00

MovementX is considered “non-enrolled” in Medicare, which means we have no relationship or contract with Medicare.  While third party Medicare Advantage plans do have out of network coverage, traditional Medicare Part B, Medicare Secondary, and Medicare Supplemental plans do not. This means that we do not bill and our clients cannot submit for reimbursement to Medicare Part B or their Secondary Plans. We would be happy to recommend a local clinic that does accept Medicare!

We are, however, allowed to see you for the following reasons:

  • Wellness and Optimize Sessions aimed at helping you move better, perform at a higher capacity, and become more resilient to injury. (Medicare does not care if you pay out of pocket for this because services are not considered medically necessary)

  • Physical therapy services after Medicare has denied further visits at an insurance based PT clinic

  • Our AgeProofYourBody exercise class series

Contact MovementX before the start of care to make sure the cost of care and expected insurance reimbursement is fully understood. If you have questions for MX regarding your out-of-network coverage call (971) 361-9442 or contact us at info@movement-x.com.

Do you work with insurance?2024-05-01T21:32:17+00:00

Want to learn more about how MovementX operates with insurance? We have all the details for you here.

The quick summary? You can use your out of network insurance coverage to reimburse for services incurred with MovementX! Being out of network allows for our mobile model and gives us the freedom to craft a treatment plan based entirely on your needs.

Ways that MovementX works to help alleviate financial burden:

  1. We will verify your benefits ahead of time so you have total cost transparency.
  2. We will help you submit your invoice so you can maximize your insurance reimbursement.
  3. We will NEVER send you a surprise bill in the mail.
  4. We do not operate on productivity requirements and will design a plan of care based on your individual needs.
  5. Our rates are often more cost efficient than in-network cash rates applied to your deductible.
  6. We accept Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Flex Spending Accounts (FSAs), and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) for motor vehicle accidents and worker’s compensation.
Do I need a referral from my doctor to see a PT?2024-05-01T21:32:40+00:00

No! In all US states you can see a physical therapist at any point that you have pain or injury without a referral. In fact, research has repeatedly proven that the sooner you see a PT without a delay in care, the better your outcomes will be. Moral of the story? Don’t wait, contact us now to set up your evaluation and treatment.

Note: Some states require a referral from a physician after a certain period of time has passed under a physical therapist’s care. Additionally, some insurance companies require a referral before they will reimburse services. If you have questions about whether you need a referral to be seen, contact us today and we will verify for you.

Move Well. Mom Well. Run Well. Lift Well. Work Well.Yoga Well. Live Well.

MovementX is the easiest way to see a trusted physical therapist at home, at our clinics, or virtually so you can keep living your healthiest and best life.
