Can I use my Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flex Spending Account (FSA)? 2025-02-07T23:12:47+00:00

Yes! You can use either your Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to pay for physical therapy with MovementX. Simply add your HSA/FSA card as your payment method when booking your session. You can also submit your receipts for reimbursement. FSA funds typically expire at the end of the year, so don’t let them go to waste! Have questions? Contact us at (202) 681-1474 or info@movement-x.com.

Does MovementX accept Medicare?2025-02-07T23:12:42+00:00

MovementX is non-enrolled with Medicare, meaning we do not have a contract or billing relationship with Medicare Part B or Medicare Supplemental plans. This means that we do not bill Medicare, and our clients cannot submit claims for reimbursement under traditional Medicare or secondary plans. However, some Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans may offer out-of-network coverage, so we recommend checking with your provider.

You can still choose MovementX for services in the following cases:

  • Wellness & Optimization Sessions – Focused on improving mobility, strength, and injury prevention (not considered medically necessary by Medicare).
  • Post-Denial Physical Therapy – If Medicare has denied additional visits at an insurance-based PT clinic, we are happy to help you.
  • AgeProofYourBody Exercise Classes – Join our online group exercise classes designed for active aging!

If you have any questions about your out-of-network coverage, give us a call at (202) 681-1474 or email info@movement-x.com.

Do I need a referral from my doctor to start PT?2025-02-07T23:09:36+00:00

No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to start physical therapy with MovementX. In all U.S. states, you can see a physical therapist directly when you have pain or an injury. Research shows that starting physical therapy early leads to better outcomes, so don’t wait—contact us today to schedule your evaluation.

Some states require a referral after a certain period of treatment, and some insurance companies require a referral for reimbursement. If you’re unsure about your specific situation, contact us at (202) 681-1474 or info@movement-x.com, and we’ll verify for you.
