What conditions do you treat?2020-06-15T04:16:28+00:00

Our physical therapists are trained in a variety of specialties including spine, orthopedics & sports, pelvic & women’s health, maternity care, neurological conditions, pediatrics, and more. We also believe in more than just reactive care, we believe in preventative care.  If you are having difficulty achieving your goals or want to take your movement skills to the next level, a MovementX physical therapist or personal trainer will be there to help you move better. Explore our Services page for more information on specific conditions we treat.

Where will our session be hosted?2024-05-01T21:33:14+00:00

At MovementX we think beyond the clinic walls. We offer mobile physical therapy services right to your doorstep: whether that is at your home, your gym, your workplace, the local track, or through a telehealth session…we’ll be right there by your side! We also partner with several gyms and corporate locations to offer you a comfortable third party space if needed. We recognize that movement happens throughout your day, regardless of where you are. We want to be there with you.

How do I get started?2020-07-16T19:33:57+00:00

We want to thank you for joining us on this journey into a new era of physical therapy and healthcare!

To get started, sign up to become a patient:

  1. Option 1: Do you already have a physical therapist in mind? After creating your account, select “I Know a Provider I’d Like to Book With” and search for your physical therapist’s name. Once you complete the sign-up process, you will be directly connected with your physical therapist who will reach out to you within 24 hours.
  2. Option 2: Don’t have a physical therapist yet but looking for a great fit? Select “I’m Looking for a Provider To Book With” and one of our team members will reach out to you immediately.

Once you’ve found your physical therapist and finished the sign up process, you can ask your physical therapist about their experience, their availability, your condition, and any other question you may have…free of charge. However, before you’re able to access the full message functionality, we’ll need you to input your payment information. Don’t worry, you won’t be charged a cent until after your first session is completed and all payment information is housed securely by our third party payment processor.

You and your physical therapist will then decide on a time and place to host your first session. From there, we expect you to have a phenomenal care experience. It’s our guarantee!

Do you work with my other doctors?2020-06-08T16:28:42+00:00

Not only will we help you achieve your health and wellness goals, we will coordinate with your care team; your physicians, personal trainers, family members, massage therapists, chiropractors, and more. Because of our concierge level care model, we see fewer patients each week which means we have more time to focus on you. We will work with you to be an active participant in your health and to understand the implications and options for care. We expect that treatment with MovementX will revolutionize your care expectations.

What is Physical Therapy?2020-06-13T06:02:01+00:00

Physical therapy, also known as “physiotherapy,” has its roots in World War I when soldiers returning from war required rehabilitation after serious injury. Since this time, the profession has evolved to a post-graduate Doctoral degree offered by University Medical Schools.

Today, physical therapists have evolved our expertise past traditional surgical rehabilitation. We not only treat surgery and acute injury, we also treat and diagnose pain and injury, manage chronic neurological and degenerative conditions, and are extensively trained in wellness, performance enhancement, and fitness training.

Physical therapy is considered a “conservative treatment option” by the American Medical Association which means that we help you recover without invasive treatments such as injections or surgery. Unlike many alternative treatment options, physical therapy is an evidence-based profession with extensive backing by research and clinical trials proving our efficacy.

At your first appointment your physical therapist will perform an extensive evaluation consisting of a complete medical history review, ruling out serious conditions, strength and range of motion measurements, and an evaluation of your postures and movement patterns. Based on these findings, your physical therapist will utilize a combination of manual therapy, exercise, and movement analysis to help you achieve your goals. We will also help coordinate your care and refer out for imaging, medication, or possible surgical referrals as needed. Learn more about how physical therapists treat here!

Do I need a referral from my doctor to see a PT?2024-05-01T21:32:40+00:00

No! In all US states you can see a physical therapist at any point that you have pain or injury without a referral. In fact, research has repeatedly proven that the sooner you see a PT without a delay in care, the better your outcomes will be. Moral of the story? Don’t wait, contact us now to set up your evaluation and treatment.

Note: Some states require a referral from a physician after a certain period of time has passed under a physical therapist’s care. Additionally, some insurance companies require a referral before they will reimburse services. If you have questions about whether you need a referral to be seen, contact us today and we will verify for you.

Are sessions one-on-one?2020-06-15T04:10:04+00:00

We’ve all heard the horror stories of physicians burried with their heads in their laptops or patients only seeing their PT every few visits.  Our sessions are more than one on one…they are lazer focused on the only thing that matters. You! We never hand off your care to aids or assistants and we don’t have other patients lined up in the waiting room demanding our time. Without the restrictions on care that come from working with insurance companies, we see ¼ the number of patients in one week than traditional clinics. This means we have even more time and energy to dedicate to you.

For those who are interested we also have the opportunity to host group classes or 2 on 1 sessions for those with similar conditions and goals. Ask your provider about options!

Who are your Physical Therapists?2020-07-16T19:35:04+00:00

Our providers are a diverse group of dreamers and doers, busy professionals and stay at home moms. They are fitness junkies and data geeks. But what do they all have in common?

All our providers were tired of the care they could provide in the clinic and joined our team to empower the way healthcare is delivered.

We take pride in our MovementX providers because we know that they are ready to go above and beyond for you. They expect more out of themselves and the healthcare system and are pioneering a new model of care, all with you in mind. Our providers go through an application process, interviews, ongoing background checks and are held to a 5-star review standard. We have providers across the country who are specialists in a variety of treatment techniques.

If you already have a provider you would like to get started with, register here and select “I know a provider I’d like to book with.” If you don’t yet have a provider and would like us to match you with someone, register here and select “I’m looking for a provider to book with” and a member of our team will reach out to you immediately.

What are your rates?2024-09-27T18:19:17+00:00

One of our primary goals is to increase cost transparency in healthcare. Rather than unpredictable and confusing pricing or receiving bills in the mail months later, each physical therapist has a set hourly rate which varies slightly by region of the country and specialty, but ranges between $150-$200 per hour. We guarantee that our concierge level care, clinical expertise, and person-centered approach will make your experience worthwhile, otherwise your money back guaranteed.

At MovementX, we want to work with you to make sure that the cost of care is not a burden. Read more here about HSAs/FSAs, here about motor vehicle accidents, and here about insurance reimbursement.

Do you accept Motor Vehicle Accident coverage or Personal Injury coverage? 2020-06-08T16:43:41+00:00

Yes! We have physical therapists who specialize in whiplash, acute injuries after car accident, post-operative care, and slips, trips, and falls personal injury cases. The convenience of our mobile model makes MovementX a perfect option for you. If you are interested in using your PIP for care, please contact us at accounts@movement-x.com or call (971) 361-9442 to begin your case

Do you work with insurance?2024-09-27T18:18:05+00:00

Want to learn more about how MovementX operates with insurance? We have all the details for you here.

The quick summary? You can use your out of network insurance coverage to reimburse for services incurred with MovementX! Being out of network allows for our mobile model and gives us the freedom to craft a treatment plan based entirely on your needs.

Ways that MovementX works to help alleviate financial burden:

  1. We will verify your benefits ahead of time so you have total cost transparency.
  2. We will help you submit your invoice so you can maximize your insurance reimbursement.
  3. We will NEVER send you a surprise bill in the mail.
  4. We do not operate on productivity requirements and will design a plan of care based on your individual needs.
  5. Our rates are often more cost efficient than in-network cash rates applied to your deductible.
  6. We accept Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Flex Spending Accounts (FSAs), and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) for motor vehicle accidents and worker’s compensation.
Do you accept Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flex Spending Accounts (FSAs)? 2024-05-01T21:32:50+00:00

Yes! We gladly accept Health Savings Accounts and Flex Spending Accounts for physical therapy care. When setting up your profile, input your HSA or FSA debit card as your payment method or submit your invoices directly to your employer or HSA/FSA provider for reimbursement. FSAs often expire at the end of the year, so don’t let it go to waste!

Does MovementX accept Medicare Beneficiaries?2024-09-27T18:18:26+00:00

MovementX is considered “non-enrolled” in Medicare, which means we have no relationship or contract with Medicare.  While third party Medicare Advantage plans do have out of network coverage, traditional Medicare Part B, Medicare Secondary, and Medicare Supplemental plans do not. This means that we do not bill and our clients cannot submit for reimbursement to Medicare Part B or their Secondary Plans. We would be happy to recommend a local clinic that does accept Medicare! Learn more.

We are, however, allowed to see you for the following reasons:

  • Wellness and Optimize Sessions aimed at helping you move better, perform at a higher capacity, and become more resilient to injury. (Medicare does not care if you pay out of pocket for this because services are not considered medically necessary)

  • Physical therapy services after Medicare has denied further visits at an insurance based PT clinic

  • Our AgeProofYourBody exercise class series

Contact MovementX before the start of care to make sure the cost of care and expected insurance reimbursement is fully understood. If you have questions for MX regarding your out-of-network coverage call (971) 361-9442 or contact us at info@movement-x.com.

What is your cancellation policy?2023-01-04T20:30:52+00:00

MovementX is here to help you attain all your movement and health goals. It is understandable that circumstances may arise which cause you to cancel your appointment. However, cancellations have an impact on our providers’ time and schedule. Cancellations more than 24 hours in advance will not be charged. Cancellations within 24 hours of a scheduled appointment time will incur the full price of the session.

MovementX is the easiest way to see a trusted physical therapist at home, at our clinics, or virtually so you can keep living your healthiest and best life.
