Your first session runs a full hour, one-on-one with a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Your therapist will ask how the injury happened, what your job physically requires, what makes your symptoms better or worse, and what you need to be able to do to get back to work. Then a hands-on evaluation of how you move, followed by treatment on the same day and a home program you leave with.
Because this is a workers’ compensation claim, your therapist also documents your functional limitations and current restrictions, and communicates with your adjuster or nurse case manager as your claim requires. That documentation is part of your care rather than an afterthought.
