What You’ll Do
As a part-time physical therapist in Salem with MovementX, you’ll empower an underserved population while working out of our correctional facility partnerships. Here’s what your role will involve and why it’s fundamentally different from traditional practice:

Deliver one-on-one or small-group PT sessions on-site inside the correctional facility or via secure telehealth.

Focus on pain relief, functional rehab, and health-literacy education.

Collaborate daily with nurses, case managers, and custody staff to keep care efficient and safe.

Streamlined Documentation on paper charts! No time spent at home documenting.

Flexible Scheduling—1 to 2 days a week of your choosing.

No Insurance or arbitrary productivity requirements—we are here to serve a population in need, not meet the demands of the insurance company.

Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Valid physical therapy license in OR.
- Currently living in/near Salem, OR.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance or reliable transportation.
- A strong sense of empathy and compassion for serving others.
- A growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- Willingness and availability to work part-time with MovementX (15-20 hours/week).
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we encourage candidates with the following experience and skills to apply:
- At least 5 years of professional patient care experience.
- Socially conscious, mission-driven, and energized by serving underserved populations.
- Confident, versatile clinician comfortable improvising with limited equipment.
- Team-oriented communicator who collaborates seamlessly with custody and medical staff.
- Adaptable, grounded, and open-minded in unique settings.
